Speech, Language, Hearing, and You

The services we provide at both an academic level and as a Speech and Hearing Clinic are in part made possible through generous donations from alumni and individuals we serve.  We appreciate the selflessness of each of our donors in helping to aid in the educational research, academic enrichment, audiology and speech services that we are able to provide in order to enhance the experience for both our students and client base.

Dr. Emily Myers becomes member of Language and Communication Study Section, of the Center for Scientific Review

Dr. Emily Myers recently became a selected member of the Language and Communication Study Section, of the Center for Scientific Review.  Her appointment, which began July 1, 2015 will continue through June 30, 2021.

According to the Center for Scientific Review, “Members are selected on the basis of their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors.  Service on a study section also requires mature judgment and objectivity as well as the ability to work effectively in a group, qualities we believe Dr. Myers will bring to this important task.”

The commitment to this membership requires a substantial dedication of time.  Dr. Myers’ contributions to this membership include, but are not limited to: reviewing grant applications; making recommendations on applications and providing suggestions to the advisory council or board; and surveying the status of research in her field of science.

Congratulations Dr. Myers, on this significant achievement!
